Barnes & Noble recently entered into a partnership with DC Entertainment according to which the graphic novels and comics from the company would be available on Nook Tablet and Nook color.
CD Entertainment is the largest publisher of graphic novels and comic books in the world and regularly publishes comics featuring some of the most popular animated characters including Superman, Iron Man, and Batman etc. Nook Tablet, on the other hand, has been doing pretty good in the market and has already won awards for its performance.
Along with the introduction of graphic novels and comics, the new feature for Nook devices would be Zoom View which would allow the users to focus in on specific panels of the graphic novels and their favorite comics.
This feature, which would considerably enhance the comic and novel reading experience, would be applicable for all books from BC Entertainment.
According to the co-publisher of DC Entertainment, Jim Lee, partnership with Barnes & Noble was inevitable to acquire wide user base.
He praised the new zoom View feature and said that this feature would highlight the graphic artistry and creativity, making the entire reading experience a delight for the users.
The new features would immediately be made available on Nook Tablets and Nook Color devices.
The Vice President of eBooks for Barnes & Noble, Jim Hilt, said that “The new Zoom View feature makes the reading experience even more interactive, and takes these graphic novels to a whole new level of entertainment.”
Currently, about 100 titles from DC Entertainment are available for Nook owners, with the promise that every month new titles would be added.
With titles for graphic novels and comics would continue to increase and Nook owners would have direct access to them.
Other than Nook owners, these features can also be enjoyed on Android tablets using the Nook for Android app. Some of the most famous comic books and graphic novels would be available via this app.
