Sylvia Day, the author of this novel, previously served as a linguist in US army intelligence. She paid for her novel to be published in April.

The book is about the steamy relationship between advertising executives Eva and Gideon and was recently spotted by a major US publisher.

After its initial success in the US, it was published by Penguin in the UK last Thursday and has already sold more than 50,000 copies. It is expected that the sales of the novel would increase in the coming days.

Day has been living with her husband and two children in Los Angeles. She said that she was thrilled by the immense success of the novel.

Talking about the plot and idea of the novel, she said that “It has some dark themes, the hero and heroine have some dark histories. I was worried it would be too dark. But I wrote it for myself, not expecting that it would find such an audience.”

Fifty Shades of Grey, the novel that set the trend of ‘mommy porn’ novels, became the fastest selling paperback in the Britain ever since the records began, surpassing the famous Harry Potter series of J K Rowling.

Many people now believe that Bared To You would become the next phenomenon and would prove to be a huge success.

Just like Fifty Shades of Grey, Bared To You would be the first in a trilogy, with the second novel ‘almost done’.

The agent of Day is also negotiating film rights for the book and Day would like to see Henry Cavill and Scarlett Johansson as the lead rols of the film adaptation of her book.
