New Updates For Asus Transformer

Amazon ImageAsus has broken its long silence with a new update for its Asus Transformer.

According to this update, a face unlock feature has been added to the tablet by which users would be able to unlock their tablet just by gazing at the front facing camera.

This new update called Version 9.2.1.24 has been released by Asus on May 16th and is already being made available on many devices.

Besides, if you are an owner of Asus Transformer and have yet not received the official notification of the update, you can undertake the process manually by going to the Software Update section in the Settings.

The manual activation does not take more than a few minutes and you do not really need any kind of technical assistance to undertake it, the process being very simple and straightforward.

Although the main attraction of the new update happens to be this face unlock feature, there are certain other features in the complete package as well.

These features include the ability to lock the system bar which would prevent any unwanted tab press.

This feature would be particularly useful for gamers.

Besides, there would also be some more enhancements in the email app for the tablet and overall system stability would also be increased.

For the time being, Asus has made this update available for the US and Canada only, but hopefully it would available for wider audience in a few weeks. Although detailed reviews of the enhancements have not yet been available, initial responses seem to be quite positive.

Asus Transformer has been doing pretty well in the market, although not as good as Samsung Galaxy Tab or Amazon Kindle Fire.

Like most other tablets in the market, this one also uses Android operating system and also comes with a separate keyboard, for those who feel it problematic to type on the onscreen keyboard. The latest software enhancements would certainly increase the worth of the tablet by providing more facilities to the users.
