Barnes & Noble has announced to decrease the prices of its main products, other than the Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight, for Mother’s Day.

So if you have a mother, you might want to consider buying a gift for her on this special occasion.

Two main products that would be included in this deal happen to be Nook Color Tablet and Nook Simple eReader.

With this special discount, the price of the Nook Color Tablet would fall from $169 to $149 while the price of the E Ink based eReader from the company would fall from $99 to $79.

However, to the disappointment of many people, the latest enchanting product form the company, Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight, is not included in this deal.

Barnes & Noble has recently released this device which happens to be the first eReader with Glowlight. The feature of Glowligth allows you to read books under low light situation, such as during night.

This was among the most demanded features on eReader and Amazon is also expected to release a Kindle equipped with it in near future. Such an eReader is a perfect device for bedtime reading since you don’t even need any lamp and hence would not disturb the sleep of your spouse.

At present, the price of the Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight happens to be $139 and it would remain at that price, being excluded from the deal. Variety of useful features make this the most popular eReader from Barnes & Noble, the company that is already competing Amazon very successfully in the US market.

Another thing that is included in the deal is a Nook gift bag which can also be a perfect gift for your mother, particularly if she is into gift bags and related stuff.

However, the saving on this product is just $3.95. But still, savings on the other two main products certainly make these deals worthwhile. Needless to say, this is a temporary deal and would last till May 13.
