Over the years the company has provided eReaders to various schools and colleges and in a recent move, Shop e-Readers stated they would provide the devices to the University of Manitoba student store.
The devices included in this deal are Kobo eReaders, accessories, book-lights, and protective covers.
Over the course of last few months, Shop e-Readers has been involved in similar deals with renowned educational institutes of Canada such as Simon Frasier and Vancouver Community College. So the main purpose of the company happens to be the promotion of digital form of education through eReaders, since eReaders are the most convenient and efficient form of promoting digital readings in the classrooms.
The popularity of digital mode of education is constantly increasing with the passage of time since they absolve students of the load of physical books and in addition, the price of digital books is also usually lower than their physical counterparts. An increasing number of students now prefer to use the digital text books instead of physical books and several educational institutes have officially adopted the digital mode of education, and the trend is expected to accelerate in future.
Peter Carotenuto form shop e-Readers said that this is certainly a great move and would encourage in the promotion of digital form of education, which is no doubt the form of education that would prevail in future. He said that the company was delighted to have formed a partnership with one of the largest universities in Canada, and would continue to strive for digital mode of education to cope with the challenges of future.
Shop e-Readers is mainly a British Columbia company that was recently acquired by Oak Branch Media, Inc. The company mainly deals in the sales and services of e-Readers and tablet computers internationally. The special focus of these sales and services, however, is to promote them for educational purposes.
